Kodo Art Comprehensive Kit
The Kodo Art Comprehensive Kit places a focus on mediums and includes beautiful tools to be used with sand, chalk, and water, including a Chalk Spinner and a Sand Tray. To provide flexible options for teachers as they engage children in creative expression, abstract thinking, and pre-literacy skill development, this collection also includes a Slate Tablet, which can be used outdoors.
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
- Sand Tray This beautiful wooden tray with a clear base offers a space to create designs in the sand and play with the artistic concepts of positive and negative space, and includes:
- 2 lbs. fine quartz sand
- One sand smoothing tool
- Two sand rakes
- Sand Tray Mirror: Experiment with the artistic concepts of reflection and symmetry. This acrylic mirror has wooden feet for use in the Sand Tray or on a tabletop.
- Patterned Rolling Pins: This set of four wooden rolling pins is an essential art tool for sensory applications. Glide the pins across sand or clay to reveal a pattern.
- Sand Tray Light Panel: Place the Sand Tray Light Panel under the Sand Tray to illuminate the clear bottom. As sand is moved, vibrant white light fills the negative space.
- Sand Rollers Patterns Set: Children strengthen their fine-motor control as they create intricate patterns and compositions by gliding these clear acrylic rollers across sand in the Sand Tray.
- Sand Writer, Set of Two: The Sand Writer is a funnel in pen form. Children fill the acrylic tube with very fine sand, and it trickles out of the bottom.
- Water Canvas: Paint with water on the white canvas (5 yds.) and see your works of art turn black and then back to white as it dries!

Chalk Spinner With Accessories: The spinning chalkboard encourages artistic exploration and creativity while developing critical skills such as fine-motor coordination and dexterity. The Chalk Spinner has a chalk-friendly top and sides, encouraging children to explore "outside the lines." It includes:

- Slate Tablet: Encourage artistic works outdoors. This wood-framed, large Slate Tablet is attached to a stand. Place it on the ground for use with chalk, water, or a mixture of both. It comes with chalk and one foam brush.
- Discovery Boards: Crystal clear, 12” x 9.5” Discovery Boards provide open-ended canvases for art, nature exploration, or table work. This set of 10 includes mini magnifiers.
- Mirrored Shapes Set: These stainless steel cubes and cylinders are perfect molds for shaping Kinetic Sand, Mad Mattr, clay, or your own modeling dough.
- Activity Tray: The Activity Tray creates a focused and portable activity space for art, sensory play, small construction, and ramp experiences. This 24" x 24" magnetic steel tray is watertight and framed in birch.
